SEPP BLATTER RETURNS AS FIFA PRESIDENT



Embattled fifa president, Sepp Blatter has declared he did not resign his duty post as fifa president.  The 79-year-old Swiss was thought to have ended his 17-year reign on 2 June amid claims of corruption in world football's governing body, contrary to this understanding, a fifa statement has confirm in a Swiss tabloid that Blatter told a party: "I did not resign, I put myself and my office in the hands of the Fifa congress.". popular belief among fifa congress members is that Blatter is contemplating  standing for re-election in the coming elections. The  world was led to believe that the fifa  president had resign from his post due to the corruptions that rock the organisation under his leadership, but shockingly it has now been revealrf that Blatter never used the word resign as quoted,  I have decided to lay down my mandate at an extraordinary elective congress. I will continue to exercise my functions as Fifa president until that election." end of quoteHowever, Blatter did not use the words 'resign' or 'resignation'. He did add, however, the election would be for his "successor" and said: "I shall not be a candidate."

ISLAMIC STATE MOVE TO CONQUER SYRIA


The Syrian capital of Kobane has been under attack by the Islamic Militant fighters, Two car bombs and clashes with Kurdish defenders left up to 30 people dead and scores injured. IS shot dead 20 others in a village nearby, activists say.IS has recently suffered a string of defeats to Kurdish forces.But in another attack on Thursday, it seized parts of the key north-eastern city of Hassakeh. IS may not strategically need this city but the defeat to government back forces seem to hurt IS and its time for payback.

AFGHAN PARLIAMENT ATTACKED BY TALIBANS




A coordinated attack carried out by Talibans against the afghan parliament is on going in Kabul, the Talibans claim this attacks is to prevent the confirmation of the new defense minister being introduce to the parliament.  New defense Minister Massoom Stanekzai was being introduced to MPs, who need to endorse him before he takes office. The country has been without a full-time defense minister for several months, and the attack is sending a clear message about their desire not to have a ministry of defense to the government by putting out Monday's parliamentary proceedings. the Afghan police are currently battling to clear the building to guaranty the safety of MPs, while fending off Talibans, reports gathered is that a female MPs has been injured in the attack though the severity of the injury is yet to be known.
